Rain won the match between Ireland-Australia

Yesterday’s ODI between Ireland and Australia has been abandoned after just 10.5 overs due to adverse weather conditions.

Cricket Ireland has decided to offer ticket holders the opportunity to see the Irish team in action again over the next month on a day of their choice free of charge.

Ticket holders from today’s match are being offered a free ticket for any ticket purchased to any of the upcoming five home internationals in July.

In what play was possible, veteran Australia fast bowler Brett Lee took two wickets for 10 runs in three overs as Ireland made 36 for three.

Australia continue their tour with a match against county side Essex on Tuesday before facing England in a five-match one-day series starting at Lord’s on June 29.
